French-English translation
Kate Campbell-StoreyCultural Differences:
Marketing to different cultures is a challenge. A look at French and English TV or Newspaper adverts, etc., shows that what works with one culture will not necessarily work with another.
My Specialist Areas:
I cover a broad range of subjects and translate for clients in fields as varied as cosmetics and perfumes (Yves St Laurent and Costume National) through pharmaceutical products and medical equipment (Elemma.com and Airox) to software (Adonix and API2000) steel tubing (Tubeurop France, Arcelor Group) and on to transport (Bernis Le Transport), etc.
What I offer:
I have more than 10 years translation experience in technical marketing translation. However, I do not believe experience alone is sufficient and this is where my commitment comes into play. I try to consider every angle of your project and the product or service you are selling for the country concerned. For me marketing is about getting a message across in the most positive way, presenting the product/service in its best possible light.
Website Translation: With the proliferation of Server Side, Flash and Active Content (and its regrettable possibilities of transferring virus, trojan, worm codes even to well protected PCs) I no longer download websites for translation. I now need the actual pages requiring translation preferably in Word or text format.
